Since Presley is the baby of the family, it would have been super easy to be sad that she was turning 5. I guess that means that I don’t have small kiddos any longer! Crazy!
Honestly, though, I was filled with such joy and peace! What a blessing she is to our little family, and I am so thankful for her sweet, spunky, and fun little personality. Her brothers, daddy, and I love her so very much!
For breakfast, she asked for pumpkin bread (love that!), and we let her open up her big present from us. She has been looking through that American Girl doll catalog for years now, so it was the perfect present for her 5th birthday!
She picked out “Caroline” one of the historical characters. I am crazy about Historical fiction, so I just LOVED her choice! I really expected her to choose differently! Maybe something with sequins. haha! 😉
She’s in love.
Since it was Sunday, we went to church and brought donuts to share with her Sunday school class. She was so excited to carry them into the classroom. 🙂
And, she wore her special Hello Kitty Birthday Badge all day!
Oh, and we took our Sunday picture! Poor Jackson–he had a darling smile in all 99 other tries of this shot, but the birthday girl was looking in this pic…so, oh well. 😉
After church, we went to Presley’s favorite lunch spot: McAllister’s Deli.
Taking a selfie with her daddy.
And, in case you were curious, I wore my new, favorite vest. It didn’t keep me very warm, but it was super cute! 😉
After lunch, P and I loaded up the car and went to set up for her Party!
We threw a Baby Doll Picnic–the girls brought their favorite doll for all of the fun activities! The party was supposed to be at a local park, but it was 35 degrees and raining, so we moved it to La Madeline. It turned out so cute, and I CANNOT say enough good things about the management at our local La Madeline! I will definitely be stopping in here more often! They were incredible, and the party turned out adorable!
My awesome friend, Lori, took a picture of Rob, Presley, and I. So sweet!

Close up of one of the tables. For the craft, the girls made princess crowns for their babies. 🙂
The “picnic” area. The girls used the pretend food , plates, and bassinet for playtime with their baby dolls. My great grandmother made that quilt which was so special, and that basket was part of Presley’s Bassinet! Oh my goodness, I love a good full circle moment. Someone cue the Circle of Life. 😉
The banner. 😉
And, lots more details!
We had dessert and cocoa for the mamas while the girls partied. I took this picture before we put out the tarts. 🙂
What a fun day!! We had so much fun celebrating our sweet girl!
