Today, I am sharing some of my FAVORITE ways that I will be breathing life into my quiet time and devotional time! Hopefully, you will see an idea that you love and can use for yourself!
don’t be afraid to mark it up!
Girls, did you know that I never have written in my Bible EVER? I’ve always been a little nervous to do it, as I want it to be easy to read, neat and tidy. However, I tend to retain things better once I break out my multi-colored highlighters, so I am throwing caution to the wind! Haha #Biblerebel
Siesta Scripture Memory Team
So, Erika turned me on to this last year, and I think it is so neat. It is organized by Beth More, and you memorize 2 verses a month. On the 1st and 15th of each month, you submit them online. It is such a fun idea! My favorite part is that you pick the scripture to memorize! So good!
Finding a fellowship of believers:
A weekday morning Bible study
For so many years, I did a weekday morning Bible Study which I loved. Somehow, I got out of the habit, so I am getting back in the saddle to do an 11 week study this Spring. The study I am doing is on David, and it sounds fabulous!
Refining our relationships:
Praying for your husband from head to toe
This book is courtesy of the author who wrote “Power of a Woman’s Words”, and I am really intrigued by this one! It is supposed to be a very practical guide to praying for your husband–I will keep you posted!
A Family Devotional:
5 minute Devotional for Children
We were so blessed by our Christmas Devotional, and we are going to try and keep it up! This looks like an easy transition! Any opportunity to have an open discussion with our kids about His Word.
Spiritual Gifts and Application:
Spiritual Gifts Survey
So, while all this knowledge is wonderful, it’s best used blessing others. One of the best things I’ve ever done was really pray about and determine what my spiritual gifts are! Sometimes it is really hard to lock in to your spiritual gifts, and I love that Lifeway has a Spiritual Gifts Survey that you can take if you aren’t sure. You should check it out–Easy peasy!
I don’t know about you, but—sometimes, I can feel overwhelmed about not knowing where to start with my quiet or devotional time. Just take one step at a time, and I know that God will encourage you along the way! You can do it!
Happy Friday! Don’t forget to post your favorites, and link up below! XOXO N 🙂
