Hey, y’all! The house is coming along! Right now, it’s just a bunch of wood. Super interesting! š
The weather has delayed the builder a bit, but every time we drive by there are one or two guys out there working on the framing. Seeing them work always reminds me why I wasn’t meant to be a construction worker. (I also wasn’t meant to do jumping jacks or push-ups, but that is for another day) If you sent me to a job site and pointed at a pile of wood, we would have problems. Like major structural problems. Like the house would not stand problems. I remember the time that we built a gingerbread house from scratch when Jackson was just a preschooler. Bless it, that poor gingerbread house looked more like a condemned crack house. Robert even went so far as to find yellow caution tape so he could wrap a perimeter around it while I was out one night. Anyhow, I haven’t made another gingerbread house since then and it’s good to have skilled workers building your home. š It’s slowly getting there!
Anyway, since the weather is warming up, I am starting to think about our back patio area! I can’t wait to sit on our back porch and watch the kids play!
Do you sense a theme. Backyard twinkle lights are my favorite. I have no clue if they are allowed in our future HOA, but I’ve never been good at following rules…so you know I’ll try. š
This swing makes me want to grab a glass of iced tea and a good book!
And, this. Lord, help me…I must have pinned this years ago. And, I swear that I am going to host a movie night with giant planters of popcorn under the stars in our new backyard if it is the very last thing I do. š
Also, I’m obsessed with cozy firepits
and charming pathways
and more firepits
Our backyard has a tree line, but it faces South so I am thinking we will be getting too much sun for these sweet flowers. But, this is my Pinterest pretend backyard…and I’ll have shade plants if I want. haha š
And, glass topped barrels. How cute is this!! I think we may even make these nightstand tables since the glass might be tricky outside. So fun!
While I was pinning all of these goodies, I came across these.
Dear Keebler Fudge Striped Smores, I love you. Just roast or microwave your marshmallows and smoosh between two of these cookies. Yes, ma’am!
Happy Tuesday, y’all!! XOXO Narci
