Friday Favorites

Hey, y’all!!  The first few weeks of June is flying by!  It’s Friday today which means we are hosting Friday Favorites with Andrea and Erika!!

1.  Swim Lessons–Praise the lord!  All of the kids are official swimmers!   I really never thought I’d see this day when I had a 1st grader, a 1 year old, and a newborn!  IMG_6895

Presley is a little fish!  I grew up in the pool, so it makes my heart so happy to see my kids being such strong and confident swimmers and having such a great time!

2.  Jackson turned 12!

Jackson is so funny and so smart…He’s competitive, gracious and thoughtful, and the kind of person who doesn’t worry about what other people think of them.   He’s a doer, a game changer, and is always thinking outside of the box. The world is a better place with him in it, and we are so proud of him!   Also, I love that I can always count on J to pick a good restaurant for his birthday lunch!  That boy has great taste! haha!

While he was at youth camp this week, he got hit in the face by something hard which gave him two black eyes and a scar across his nose.  And, he may have forgotten to use his sunscreen the entire time so he is recovering from a bad sunburn on top of that.  I asked him how he felt about all that, and he said he wished he was pitching in a baseball game this week, because he thought he looked scary tough.  haha!  Boys!

3.  The House

We are coming up on the fun part!!  Wood floors went in yesterday, cabinets are coming in the next week,  and a bunch of our doors have been delivered!  Woohoo!

4.  Let’s all be brave

So, I’ll be sharing a full review of this book and others next week, but I just wrapped this one up…and it is good.  So good.  If you haven’t read it, you should totally grab it!

Don’t forget to post about your favorites, link back, and join the link up below!  Have a great weekend!! XOXO Narci

  1. Ohmygoodness Jackson! I cannot believe he is already 12! Also all your house posts make me so excited. I can’t wait to see how you decorate it all. Have a great weekend!

  2. I’ve loved spending the first week of summer with your family! And I’m super impressed with how much P has progressed in just a week of swim lessons! See you later this morning :).

  3. What a joy to find your blog and to link up to today’s meme. We, too, are in the final weeks of building a new house and what a journey it has been. I look forward to following yours to completion and your family is precious. Happy weekend!

  4. I’m cracking up about Jackson’s pitching comment! As the mom of a pitcher I’ve seen lots of crazy antics, lots of dyed hair and mohawks but the past two years since Riley is still fairly blonde he has dyed his facial hair. You would not believe the comments! haha

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
