Show and Tell Tuesday

Hey, y’all!!  Today, I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals for Show and Tell Tuesdays!
Show and Tell - IG Graphic (2)

Andrea is so smart, and she has the best list of prompted blogging topics!  Today, we were talking about High School!

Show and Tell - Big List (1)

I graduated in 1997 from Plano Senior High School (Go Wildcats!!), and I can still sing the school song for you, if you like! 😉  There were 1600 people in my graduating class, and we had our very own version of Texas High School Football and Friday Night Lights!

In 1997, beanie babies were king!

The Spice Girls had a number 1 hit.  Wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends….what does that EVEN MEAN???  I didn’t care!  I loved these girls!Spice-Girls-spice-girls-671732_1024_768

Jack and Rose set sail on the Titanic and rocked the box office…

Actors Leonardo DiCaprio (L) and Kate Winslet (R) in a scene from the movie

And, Brad and Jen were still “a thing”.  Oh man, they were SO CUTE together!jennifer-aniston-and-brad-pitt

All of my pictures are boxed up because of the move, but I did find one of me in high school!

I don’t know about y’all, but having a “Hard Rock” t-shirt in high school was pretty legit back in the mid 90s! 😉

I was a pretty easygoing and laidback as a teenager!  I loved to dance, was a good student,  and was a total social butterfly!  In 10th grade, I had a solo at the High School Choir Concert, AND I BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE.  (Not really…I am totally tone deaf—I would die for a recording of that performance–I am sure it was AWFUL!) I loved hanging out with my friends, and we totally rocked our giant mums at the homecoming football games!

During my senior year, my mum had Christmas lights and a motor to rotate the top circle part because #TEXAS and #everythingisbigger

What a fun trip down memory lane!!  Thank you for the fun linkup, Andrea!!

Also, alot of people asked about my dress and purse from yesterday’s post!

The dress was from Old Navy and is sold out, but I think this similar sheath dress is adorable!

The purse is from Stella and Dot!  You can find it here.  Lucky for y’all–I’m hosting a Stella and Dot party this week, and I will be talking about some of my favorite Stella and Dot pieces this Friday!  For now, we can all crush on this bag.  I think I am in love!  You can find it here.

So pretty and perfect for Fall!!! Happy Tuesday! XOXO Narci

  1. What?? A motor?? That is one thing I don’t get here in Texas…those Homecoming mums!! Your Hard Rock shirt was way cool!

  2. Haha! The mums!! And the hard rock shirt!! I was a 1997 grad too – but a class of 1600 — Texas does do it big! That was my entire high school!!

  3. Such a fun post today! Your high school must have been huge to have such a giant graduating class- it literally had like 1000x more than Erika’s class haha!! And I am cracking up at the giant, motorized mum!! I went to school in Colorado, and we typically just used a simple rose with some baby’s breath!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
