Weekend wrap-up

Hey, y’all!! It’s Monday, and I’m a little sad our weekend is over!! 5 more days until Christmas Break, friends! ๐Ÿ™‚  yay!!

This weekend, we marked a few things off our Christmas Bucket List for 2015!  First, we went to downtown Frisco! The lights in their square are so pretty! Wow!!
We checked out the fountains!

This girl loves Christmas, so she was really into it!

Just magical!!

Sheaffer brought me a little treat earlier in the day, and it was the perfect ending to a fun day! Yum!!

On Saturday morning, George brought Gingerbread house kits for the kids!

And, since our plans were rained out, we built and decorated the houses instead!

I think that we ate more candy and frosting than we decorated with. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And, then we finished the night with Home Alone 2 and a fun game!
We did a Flashlight candy cane hunt!! Basically, we sent the kids upstairs, hid the candy canes, turned the lights out and set them loose with flashlights!

Of course, daddy walked around with a light saber because #boysnevergrowup. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And any night that includes my new slippers is a total win!

And, of course, our Sunday picture for good measure.

Happy Monday!! Xoxo Narci

  1. Your elf, George, is brilliant! Saturday was the perfect day to bring gingerbread houses since it was so yucky outside. And my kids would love that candy cane hunt. Anything that involves a flashlight? They’re in!!

  2. That flashlight candy cane idea is so awesome!!! I am definitely doing that!!!!!! Do you hide the little sized ones or the regular sized ones? any “rules” like a “winner” for the most canes or anything like that?

    • Hi, Jessica!! We did the mini candy canes ๐Ÿ™‚ our grocery store has mini candy canes that have scripture written on the packages so that really was special as well! we hid 36 and each kiddo was allowed to find 12. Our kids are so stinking competitive, so I was afraid that it would end in an argument if we didn’t keep it fair. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have big ideas of making it an all out competition once everyone is a teenager though!!!
