Hey, y’all! It’s Wednesday, and this is what is going on in our house!!
These two are enjoying being back in school and back at after school activities!
And, this guy is officially as tall as me!
The pediatrician is predicting that he will be be super tall but who knows, right? π I am just so thankful that he is a such a sweet and happy boy! The good news is that his Fritos and Hershey Kiss diet seems to have paid off thus far! So, hopefully that is reassuring for my fellow mamas who have picky eaters at home. π I promise they will grow in spite of their picky eating! π
In other news…Since we are in the process of setting up my studio, I pulled out a newborn bean bag that I bought several years ago but never had the space for! Basically, it’s a flat bean bag and is perfect for posing those itty bitty babies!
Since mine came unfilled…I ordered filler for it on Amazon just before Christmas, and it finally came in yesterday! Woohoo!
Simple, right? You would think so, but the filler is tiny bits of imaginary atoms that are somehow weightless and also judging you at the same exact time…they simultaneously stick to everything and nothing LIKE IT’S THEIR JOB. There is no telling them where to go or what to do. π
Just when I thought I was getting the hang of the process, I realized they were just pouring onto the floor. π This is also when the workers who were repairing something in the room behind me busted out laughing at me.
The idea of funneling them into a bean bag is similar to trying to collapse one of those windshield sun shades into a perfect circle. People SPEAK of it being done, but I still have yet to watch someone accomplish it in a way that didn’t look like pure magic! π
This next picture is when I realized that I had wasted 45 minutes of my life already, AND that I actually needed at least two more bags to finish my project.
And, because #happyending this is where it is still sitting this very minute. haha! Y’all!
I ordered two more bags on Amazon, so I will keep you posted! π
Happy Wednesday! XOXO Narci

That bean bag filler. Oh my!! I feel like that job was meant for a Jackson consequence-you know what I mean?? I used some little tiny green dots like that for decoration at Ebby Lee’s first birthday and they were impossible to clean up. They happened to be magnetically charged or something and retract when you try to sweep them. Ugh!! I feel for you!

Oh Narci! I didn’t even know you could buy bean bag filler? What a mess! Girl…I’d have been throwing those little particles everywhere in frustration ;).

Ummmm – that filler would be too much for my OCD tendencies!! Easier to buy a new bean bag?? π

I was cracking up when you posted the filler picture yesterday! My Dillon will turn 14 on Friday (also a picky eater) and he has grown 8 inches since last January. He would walk into my room some mornings last year and I would swear he had literally grown/matured over night!! It’s crazy. Girls just don’t seem to grow the same.

The bean bag fiasco is hilarious! I’m sorry that happened – hopefully it works in your favor next time!

I refill my art classroom bean bags every August and the trick is a large (12×18) sheet of construction paper made into a funnel (be sure to staple or tape it to keep the shape) and a big cup to scoop the beans! If you try to tip the bag you’ll be finding beans for months! I had a similar issue the first time and they rolled all over my classroom!
