Weekend Wrap-up!

Hey, y’all!  Well, this weekend didn’t go the way we planned, but everyone was all smiles Friday morning before school!  img_6283

On Friday, I spent my day doing this…which is probably my favorite place to be…with a precious new baby!

I don’t always have the house in perfect order when I leave early for the day…but I do make the bed early each morning no matter what…because, it just makes me happy to come home to a perfectly made bed!  Friday was no exception!img_6208

On Friday night, the kids had friends over, we had our Friday night pizza, and we just relaxed after a crazy week!  I didn’t get one single picture other than Robert and I being goofy after the kids went to bed! It had been a crazy week!  Netflix and eye masks were in order!

Presley fell in love almost instantly with a cute visitor that we had Saturday morning!  Oh gosh!  They were so sweet together!

We are doing research on different breeds to see which might work best as a part of our family!  We are narrowing it down!

And, then around lunch time…our sweet girl started feeling really badly.  It turns out that she had strep…and a tough case of it.  So, I spent the rest of the weekend doing a lot of this.

It was hard cancelling all of our fun weekend plans, but I’d take these precious hand holding moments any day.  Sick days happens, y’all!  Can’t wait for our fun times, next weekend!  Hope you had a great weekend!! XOXO Narci

    • Hi, Julia! Gisele Snowflake is doing great! My parents bought the dog “for the kids” but she’s always lived at my parents’ house. Gisele and my mom are way too tight for us to steal her away to our house! Haha! We are all big fans of that cute doggie though!

      • I was just worried something bad happened.
I know it is none of my business, but it would be really great if you adopted a dog from shelter. So many dogs need new homes. 😦
        Have a nice week, N.!

      • No worries! We actually are looking at rescue organizations and shelters! We are just making sure we are informed about what different breeds are like so we know what kind of dog to lean towards when looking. I could talk myself into just about any of those sweet doggie faces though! 🙂

  1. Keep your eyes on local shelters! We’ve adopted both of ours as puppies (a yorkie/schnauzer and a welsh collie/who knows what else) and they are both such sweet, friendly dogs. Dog personalities definitely depends a lot on the environment the dog lives in and the dog itself- plus, mixed breeds are less likely to have health issues! Good luck!

      • Oh, me too! That’s how we ended up with our first puppy- we went to volunteer and ended up bringing him home that day. Needless to say, we found other ways to volunteer! 🙂

  2. Narci, You are so right!!! Those sick cuddles are sad but sweet. My 18 year old daughter who will leave for college in the Fall was sick a couple of weeks ago and spent several days snuggled up next to me. Knowing those opportunities are growing increasingly smaller made me sit around a lot more than normal taking in every minute. Hope your girlie is feeling much better today! (I was always happy when it was strep though so it could be treated👍)
