Hey, y’all! Today, we are linking up with Andrea for her super fun Show and Tell Tuesdays!
Today’s topic is all about our favorite vacation! Today, I am sharing about the last few days of our recent trip to our favorite place: Sandestin, FL!
If you’d like to read about Days 1 and 2, you can here
If you’d like to read about Days 3 and 4, you can here
And now onto Days 5 and 6…
On Day 5, it was cloudy and rainy which was perfect because we were all a little crispy around the edges from being out in the sun all week. π So, we decided to hit up our favorite breakfast spot and do some shopping. π For breakfast, we went to Another Broken Egg, and it was probably the most delicious breakfast we’ve had EVER. I mean. So good!
The girls π
And, the boys eyeing their amazing chocolate milk! Another Broken Egg does their chocolate milk RIGHT with whipped cream, sprinkles, and more. What a fun and special treat!! Wow!!
Luke was PUMPED!! π
Presley was in heaven! Not a bad way to start your Monday, right?
I also have to mention that their coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted. Sweeteners give me migraines, so I drink my coffee black…and this was so good!
Since it was our last full day of vacation, I didn’t hold back on the breakfast! haha!
Those are pancakes Banana Foster style. Y’all. Just yes.
Rob was more sensible and ate protein, but his looked delish, too!
The restaurant had a fun courtyard with a corn hole game, and the kids had the best time playing after we ate.
After breakfast, we loaded the kids up and took a drive down Hwy 30a to Seaside. π Seaside is a darling little beach town about 20 minutes away from our resort.
Everything is just so cute with loads of character.
They filmed the Truman Show here, and it is so peaceful and beautiful.
Their town square has some fun shops, so we checked out the local bookstore
and did a little shopping in some of their boutiques. π
After we wrapped up in Seaside, we headed back to our hotel for one last trip to the beach. The Hilton umbrella setups are literally THISCLOSE to the water and so convenient.
We buried each other in the sand, built more sand castles, and made sure we had our fill of sandy toes before we went back to the room to get cleaned up for dinner!
We were really lucky on this day, because I think we had our best meals outside of the hotel on this day! For dinner, we went to the Surf Hut!
It is located on the beach and has a super cute front patio! You know that is a fun place to hang out!
Plus seating on the back porch with a view of the ocean! Also, there are sand toys so your kids can play while you eat. Seriously genius!
Robert had the pork, shrimp, and fish tacos…and he said they were amazing!!
I had the Shrimp and Grits…and they were so incredibly tasty! This is one of my favorite meals, and The Surf Hut blew it out of the water!
After dinner, we walked down to the water for one last picture at the beach.
And the next morning, we woke up early, packed our suitcases, and said goodbye to our awesome hotel.
The staff was so courteous, everything was just beautiful, and they took such good care of us! We will be heading back to our favorite little vacation spot next year (and the year after, and the year after)!
Many years ago, one of my friends gave me such wise advice…Each year, take a vacation with just your family. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but, more importantly, use it as an opportunity to round your wagons and listen to your people without the distraction of every day life. This advice has been such a blessing to our family each year, and we are so thankful for these special moments together!
And just for fun, a little video clip from our drive home!
Thanks so much for the fun link-up Andrea!! Happy Tuesday, y’all! XOXO Narci

I saw that Surf Hut sign and thought that I’m pretty sure we ate there last year. It was new and right down from our condo. We walked over. Then when I saw Rob’s tacos-it was confirmed. I recognized THE TACOS! Hahahaha!!
