Hey, Y’all!! We had a great Holiday weekend! Over the weekend, I posted this photo and caption on Instagram. In case you didn’t see it, I’ll share it here. š
“42 years ago, my daddy lived smack dab in the Middle East in a home with a dirt floor. He came to this country in search of a better life: put himself through school, built a successful company, became a US citizen, and passed down the kind of respect for our country that comes from seeing the bigger picture of this world. One day, the daughter of that immigrant married an Airman, found Jesus, and shared so many life moments together as they sought to follow Him: some so perfect that they didn’t even seem real (like watching her baby girl play in the backyard on a perfect summer night) and some that completely broke our hearts..only God can create and redeem a story like ours. Every good thing in our life is from Him, and I’ll spend every day I’m on this Earth giving Him all the credit.”
I love our country, and 4th of July is one of my favorite Holidays. Parades, flags, patriotism, red, white, and blue….Yes, ma’am!
I started Friday with lots of work! Baby H was looking so sweet on my computer screen! Is she winking at me? I think so š Love!
That night, we went to Tupps! It really was the perfect way to start the Holiday weekend!
Our friend Mellissa was celebrating a birthday!
Here is the whole group. Mellissa is in the middle and really started tearing up when she realized how many people had come to celebrate with her. So sweet!
She just moved here last summer from Florida! I have lived here my entire life, and I am pretty sure that I couldn’t get this kind of crowd at my birthday party. š
These girls had a ton of fun together!
On Saturday, we had our friends over for dinner, and I didn’t take one picture! What on Earth? I always forget to do this when I am hosting! Darn!
Sunday morning, we went to church
and then relaxed all afternoon! It was PERFECT! After dinner, I took Presley out for some 4th of July pictures.
Wave that flag sister!
On Monday morning, it was parade time! Woohoo!
These two were ready to go!
Ashby and Ebby Lee were just as sweet as can be at the parade! So enthusiastic!! I love that!
As we were getting ready to go to the parade, Jackson injured his big toe. Poor thing!
So, afterwards, we made a point to take him to the ER for X-rays! After taking another look at his toe at this point…I thought it might be broken, but then he asked for Tex-mex before we headed to the hospital and I knew he was probably going to be just fine! š
Maybe the Queso cured it, but the X-rays didn’t show a fracture. So, he’s resting and keeping it elevated for the next few days so it can heal!
After our eventful afternoon, we went to watch Fireworks with friends!
And, it was the perfect ending to a great weekend!
Hope you have a happy Wednesday, y’all! XOXO Narci

Ugh!! Poor Jackson! I did that once in college and it was extremely painful. Hope he’s feeling better soon. I’m sure the queso helped. š
