Weekend Wrap Up

Hey, y’all!!  This weekend, we spent our time doing all of my favorite things!  I still had a lot of work, but we managed to squeeze some cozy, family time as well!

First off, It’s finally really cold here, so I am loving all of the cozy layers to keep warm!

Presley and I had the idea to start a tradition where we spend a day in December baking ALL DAY long!  That girl loves to be in the kitchen, and I knew just who to go to for the perfect recipes!

If you don’t have Shay’s new cookbook yet, you need it!  I flipped to the month of December, found three fun and festive recipes, sent my grocery list to Walmart grocery pickup, and we were all set!

The kids were able to easily follow the recipes with my help, and they had so much fun baking in the kitchen!img_5966

Like I’ve said before, her cookbook really is the best for busy mamas like us who don’t have time to be searching for the perfect recipes for our family!  You will love it!

On Sunday, we went to church!

The best I could get from my crew…I am slacking on our porch pictures! I know!img_5998

And, then I ran over to downtown McKinney for our Santa Minis.   Our Santa has been coming out for several years straight, and He is amazing!

Plus, he brought his cool red truck!   We had so much fun with all of the cute kids that came out!img_6005

Afterwards, I worked a little more and watched one of my favorites: The Holiday!

This movie just gets me every single time!  Leave me a comment with YOUR favorite movie to watch on a cold and cozy night at home!  I need some good recommendations! Also, see you tomorrow for Show and Tell Tuesday!! XOXO Narci

  1. The Holiday is in my Top 10 movies of all times, not just Christmas movies. I just love it! And your Santa scene was DARLING! Can’t wait to see some of the pics!

  2. Ooh The Holiday is one of my favorites, too. I had my two granddaughters, Brynn (5) and Emory (3), for a sleepover on Friday night, and we watched Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure on Netflix and we all enjoyed it.

  3. The Holiday is such a classic! We watched it last night! I also love Eloise at Christmastime and The Santa Claus movies!

  4. I LOVE The Holiday– we’ve watched it once already 🙂 I’m a huge fan of Elf but my 2 year old is obsessed with The Grinch (“Ginch” as he says it haha!), so we’ve been watching that a lot! 🙂

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
