These Days

These February days around here are just so sweet and simple.  It’s the quiet before the crazy of Spring schedules, and I am so thankful for them!

These days are full of enjoying pretty sunsets on our back porch.img_7565

and Pre-gaming the Super Bowl HARD by getting manicures with my girl! 😉
img_7536 These days are picnic dinners on the floor because it’s Hump Day and we needed something fun.

Also this cute movie came out, and we are big fans!img_7563

These days are full of cold nights on the couch reading and playing word games with my sweethearts.

There’s no place I would rather be!

Also, did you catch If:Gathering last weekend?  img_7562-1

I tuned into some of it early this week, and I wish I could have heard more!  I can’t wait to download the rest of the sessions once they become available!

These simple days are always my favorite!   Happy Thursday, y’all! XOXO Narci

  1. What kind of word games do you play? I’ve been struggling for some downtime activities for my 8 year old boy! Would love some ideas

    • Cori, great question! Both of my boys are happy to sit and read a book/do a puzzle for fun, but Presley is always on the go and has a harder time. We do word games/critical thinking activities that are competitive, because she does well in that type of scenario. For instance, one of her favorites is where she is given a sentence like “The Trolls is my favorite movie!”, and she has to see how many words she can make using only the letters in the sentence. Also, she is much more likely to engage in these if I sit with her and we do them out loud. 🙂 Hope this helps! XO

  2. I went to IF in Austin and it was amazing!! I would definitely recommend listening to Jill Briscoe and Bianca. They were some of my favorites!!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
