What’s up Wednesday!!

Hey, y’all!! Today, I am linking up with Shay, Sheaffer, and Mel for their super FUN link-up: What’s up Wednesdays.  I just love sharing what is going on with us every month!   Let’s get started!

The last Wednesday of each month, we answer these questions.  Here we go!

What we’re eating this week….

This month, I am trying to cut my caffeine in half, drink more water, and be better about eating more veggies and salads.   My skin is looking better, and I have a ton more energy….However, currently, if you gave me a box of these Little Debbie Valentine’s heart cakes…I’d eat the whole dang thing.  #detoxishard;)

What I’m reminiscing about…

We had such a sweet Valentine’s Day here!

I love these sweet days with our family!img_7725

What I’m loving…

Presley had her very first sleepover last weekend!

This group of girls is just sweet as pie, and I love that!

What I’m wearing…

We are going somewhere warm next weekend, so I have been searching for swimsuits! I’ll be sharing about those later, but I’ve been wearing this versatile striped top in the meantime!

I still love these sunglasses, and these York earrings are going to be on repeat this Spring and Summer! The colors are gorgeous!!img_7834

What we’ve been up to…

We’re just over here enjoying the pretty weather!   We don’t miss Winter too much! 🙂

 What I am working on….

In March, I am sharing my testimony during a ladies event at our church, and I am starting to prepare that!

Public Speaking is definitely not my thing, but sharing what Jesus has done in my life most definitely is!

What I’m listening to…

Oh you know…just a little bit of this…. 😉

What I’m watching or reading…

I am holding strong watching the Bachelor (and reading Sheaffer’s hysterical recaps!)!   It’s a trainwreck, but I can’t look away!

What I am looking forward to next month!

Our crazy crew is heading on a Disney Cruise for Spring Break

and then spending some time at the Magic Kingdom!   magic-kingdomv3-00-full

This is our first time, so leave all your pro tips in the comments!  I am so excited!!

Happy Wednesday, y’all!! Thank you for the fun link up, girls!!  Xoxo Narci

  1. Narci, for my what’s up Wednesday post it would have been navigating Tween tv watching! ugh! Did you watch One Tree Hill, or did I read it in another blog and it’s running together now? My 13 year old daughter is begging to watch it, and I am really not wanting her to. I have not watched it and don’t have time to binge watch now! What to do? Any thoughts on how appropriate it is for an 8th grader?

    • Hi, Cori!! Great question! I only watched a few episodes of OTH before I decided to watch Gossip Girl instead. We tend to be a little strict about what the kids watch so I’d probably pass on that for now. Of course, you know your kiddos best! Parenting Tweens/Teens is so tricky! I hope this helps!

      • It does help…we are very strict with our kids, too. It gets harder to control as she gets older and is sometimes with friends and watching a movie at someone’s house I might not approve of. Ugh! I think what is so bad about OTH is that it would be someting she would watch repeatedly, over and over as it is a TV show. Even good, sweet kids don’t need to watch material that glamorizes quesitonable behaviors. Underexposure is always better than too much, and once you watch something you can’t go back. Thanks so much!

  2. Hope you have a fantastic time on your Disney vacation! I’m in college now away from home, but I’m from Orlando and Disney is my home away from home. Get there early and stay late! Make the most of it because it truly is a joyful place! Also, get your FastPasses ahead of time so you can skip the lines. Love your blog; thanks for sharing!

  3. I’m so excited to hear you speak next month!! You are going to do great! And so jealous about the cruise! I get crazy seasick so I’m not sure anyone will ever be able to talk me into that! 😦

  4. We just came back from Disney World and I would have done our fast passes at Magic Kingdom differently. You can only have 3 and then once those time slots of your fast passes are over, you can get more in the park. HOWEVER, I regretted signing us up for 2 morning fast passes, and a lunch time fast pass. There were no lines in the morning and then all fast passes for the rides we wanted to do in the afternoon weren’t available. So next time, I would only schedule fast passes for the afternoon knowing that you wouldn’t get good ones in the park on the day of anyway! Hope that makes sense!

  5. Yay, Disney! We just went over Christmas break & had a blast. Yes to the Fast Passes & the app is a must for checking out wait times. We went at the busiest time of the year, but only had to wait about 10 min for rides! I would recommend booking your fast passes in one area first…we made the mistake of booking random ones the first day & we walked allllll over the park trying to get to these places. We got our exercise in though- over 10 miles walking that day! Where are you staying? Some of our favorite restaurants are at the Animal Kingdom Lodge because you can eat on the Savanah with the animals! They also come around when it gets dark with night vision goggles for the kids which was a big hit. Have FUN!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
