Show and Tell Tuesday

Hey, y’all! It’s Tuesday, and I’m linking up with Andrea for her super fun Show and and tell link up!

Twice a month, we show and tell about certain topics!   Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing about  our Spring Break trip, but today is all about our most embarrassing moments! 🙂

I’m not going to lie…I catch myself in silly situations all the time, but I just don’t get embarrassed very easily!   Maybe because it happens so much?  I’m constantly doing things like: wearing my contacts in the opposite eyes (for 9 months straight), walking around with a lollipop on my behind all day, and more.

My favorite embarrassing moment, though, was on a very important day…our wedding day! 🙂

After Robert proposed, we decided to head to Las Vegas to get married.  Neither one of us gambles, but my parents suggested it…and we went for it!  Before we left, we researched different chapels online…we knew we didn’t want something super cheesy (no Elvis impersonators, thank you!), and we immediately fell in love with the chapel at the Excalibur Hotel.  Isn’t it so pretty?

I called the hotel, picked the flowers (roses!), chose the ceremony type, and confirmed all the details!  We were all set for an elegant and sweet wedding ceremony right smack dab in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip!

A few months later, we flew out to Vegas and had such a fun time heading out to fancy dinners and seeing shows before our big day! On the morning of the ceremony, we arrived at the chapel and split up to the Bride and Groom’s waiting areas.  Friends, I was a bundle of nerves!  When it came time for the ceremony, I stood behind the closed doors at the back of the chapel…and they finally opened them!   I looked up at the front of the chapel for Rob and I was shocked to see no one other than….

my precious fiance and Merlin the Magician.

It turns out that when you get married at the Excalibur Hotel, your wedding is officiated by none other than Merlin the Magician.  I didn’t think to ask about that detail when setting everything up.  So, the entire hotel is castle/magic themed, so that makes sense!  I don’t know?  I guess I was expecting a justice of the peace?  haha!

Anyhow, when you fly to Las Vegas to get married, you book a chapel, and buy the perfect dress…you keep on walking down the aisle when you realize Merlin is part of the deal as well….there was no way I was turning back then!

So, there you go…super embarrassing then, but one of our favorite things to laugh about now. 😉  #marriedbyMerlin

Thank you so much for the fun link up, Andrea!! Happy Tuesday, y’all! XOXO N

  1. Narci. I feel like “MERLIN WILL BE YOUR OFFICIANT” should be in bold letters somewhere on the contract. Right? I mean, they should mention that somewhere! BUT. It makes for a great memory!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
