Friday Favorites

Hey, y’all!! It’s Friday, and we are hosting Friday Favorites with my girls, Erika and Andrea!  I am so happy that it’s the weekend!  If you need me this weekend, I’ll be knee deep in Bluebonnets, at volleyball, at soccer, and at baseball! These are the days! πŸ™‚

Perfectly Imperfect

Quite a few of you have been asking for the link to my testimony, and I have it for you today!   I’ve already watched it, and the fact that I didn’t pass out from nerves on my very FIRST time speaking in front of a group EVER is a work of God in and of itself! πŸ™‚

It you’d like to hear more about my story, here’s the link!  Enjoy!

This Outfit

A lot of you asked about the outfit I was wearing that night, also!

You can find the top here, the jeans here, and similar wedges here!

Carpool Book Club

Woohoo!  Yesterday, I shared what I have been reading lately!   I don’t know about you, but I love new book suggestions! Check it out! πŸ™‚

Manda Strong Shirts!

Our new Manda Strong shirts arrived on Wednesday, and they are beautiful!

I still miss our girl so much, but having sweet things like this to remember her by have been such a blessing!  Thank you to everyone who purchased a shirt to help support her family! You guys rock!

My Goal for any night πŸ˜‰

Oh you know!  Just a little Guacamole and Netflix for the win!   Defintely a favorite for me this week!

A Little Getaway

This week, we decided to book a little getaway for the boys’ birthdays!

The boys’ birthdays are 5 days apart in June….so, instead of a big party or lots of toys that never end up being played with, we are taking the kids to a fun family resort in San Antonio for 3 days in between their birthdays!

What fun!! I can’t wait to celebrate these sweet boys of mine!

Happy Friday, y’all!! Don’t forget to link up with your favorites below! XOXO Narci

  2. Yay! I’m so glad there is a link! I feel you on the nerves – I HATE being in front of a lot of people! The bad part is I am an ordained minister and have a calling to ministry – ha! I don’t mind speaking to my students though. πŸ™‚ Happy Friday!

  3. Hi Narci! I’ve read your blog for a while now, but this is my first time commenting. I just wanted to let you know that I loved listening to your testimony this morning! It made an hour on the treadmill go by in a hurry so thank you!!:) I’ve been a believer (gotta love those church words!) my whole life, but you challenged me to think even more carefully about the way I treat people who are different than me and to be bold in sharing the hope I have in Jesus!

  4. I listened to your testimony this morning while my baby was sleeping! (You took my maternity pictures ;)) It truly touched me. It was so nice to hear from someone who I can really relate too, being half Iranian myself! I went through so many similar things. I’m so thankful for finding God (or him finding me!) in the midst of it! I think this was so needed and can reach a lot of people. Also, love your top! πŸ™‚

Thanks for sharing Manda with all of us and God bless all of you, your relationship is such a gift & I always love seeing your group of girlfriend photos together. πŸ™‚ p.s today was my first link up and I’m so tech challenged. I somehow did it altho I don’t know how to grab the Friday favorites image? sorry about that. :0

  7. Just watched your testimony over afternoon coffee and cookies while my littles nap. Soooo good.
    A. After reading your blog for years.. Your voice sounds different than what I imagined. Hahaha
    B. My dad is from mexico. So growing up feeling unlovable is sooooo comparable. People can be so hateful, mean and ignorant. BUT GOD!
    C. The last story on the plane… chills. God is so good. How inspiring.

Thank you for the courage to share and say to the Lord. Praying so many come to Him from this video.

  8. I just watched your whole testimony and wow, you did awesome. I can’t believe you said you were nervous, you seemed like a natural and comfortable up there!! I loved it! You’re very inspiring. I read your blog everyday, but it was nice to actually hear you talk, you know? πŸ™‚ I feel like I actually got to know you more by watching. I wish I lived there so I could go to your church. It seems so nice and filled with such genuine people. That’s hard to come by. By just reading your blog and the other girls’ blogs (Shay, Erika, Andrea) for the past two years, I feel like I have become a better person and am even closer to God than I was before. Thank you for that and again thank you so much for sharing your story!!

  9. Hi Narci!

I read your blog fairly frequently, and your testimony was fantastic. Thank you for sharing the link. For being nervous, God surely made that a strength for you that evening! Well done! Also … your shirt is lovely! I linked up today too- thanks for hosting!

  10. I’ve been a long-time reader of your blog, and I just watched your testimony. Wow! I love how you challenged me as a believer who grew up in church to be mindful of the ways I interact with those new to faith in Christ. Hearing the “church words” all my life makes it easy to relate. However, I can see how it would be intimidating to others. Also, isn’t it wonderful to know that uses us, warts and all (as my Nanny says)? He meets us where we are, and I’m so grateful His mercies are new every single day. I need them! πŸ™‚ Thank you for sharing!

  12. Wow, Narci! What an awesome testimony! Your stories were so heartfelt and love of Christ poured off you. I feel blessed having listened to it. With all that happens in our world, it is sometimes to tough to not feel judgmental toward those who are different then us, but you really challenged me to look deeper into the person and not their skin color. Thank you so much for sharing.
