Hey, y’all! Today, I am linking up with the sweetest girls,Ashley and Erika, for their link-up “Tuesday Talk!”
This Easter, we knew the kids really needed new Bibles, but we weren’t sure about which ones to pick!! So, I did a little research, and I thought I’d share what I found with y’all in case you were looking for something similar! I should mention that I am not a professional at this sort of thing….so if you have great tips, please feel free to leave them in the comments!
Teen Boy Bible
So, for Jackson, I wanted something a little more mature, but with some great life application features!
In this Bible, there are little sidebars all throughout with scenarios, in depth study, and prayers that are applicable to teen life. I love that!
And lots of encouraging information for young men!
So, if you have a teen boy in your life, this is a great option!
Boys’ Bible
I picked this one up for Luke!
It has lots of cool facts and application tips for boys as well! Luke is a great little reader, and these tips provide an extra little bit of information to add to his understanding and keep him interested.
Luke is really enjoying this one as well!
Girls’ Bible
Here’s the one I picked out for Presley. Truth be told, I want this one for myself also!
I debated getting one meant specifically for girls her age, but Presley is my artist…and I knew that this would be right up her alley. There are pages for her to color…
and wide margins for pictures, her favorite verses, and such.
She’s a visual learner, so these artistic verses are so great for her learning style, too! This was a big hit with our creative girl!
Adult Options
Some of you asked about my Bible, and this year I am reading through the One Year Bible (per my girl, Shay’s, recommendation :))…
and I do my studying in my Parallel Bible
It has the NIV translation in one column and the Message on the other side.
If I have a hard time understanding something, having the Message right there helps me wrap my head around what I am reading a little better. Then, I go back and read the NIV again so I can get a better gist of what is going on. 🙂
One last thing: I didn’t buy this one, but I am was reallllly close to grabbing this as an aide to Luke’s Bible.
The review’s are great, and I love the fun, engaging layout!
I ordered all of mine off Amazon (hellllo, Amazon Prime!)…if you want to, you can find them on Amazon just below!

My parents gave me a YOUTH WALK bible when I was in junior high, and I sometimes still refer to it!

Thanks for the tips. My son used the boys’ Bible for a long time and liked it. A few years ago I bought both kids a basic black Bible with their names on it. But I like the idea of that Revolution Bible for my son who just turned 13.

How old are your boys? A new bible was the plan for Easter but I never could decide. My son is 10 yrs old.

Good question! The boys will be 14 and 9 in June. I think the one I picked out for my younger boy would be great for a 10 year old also. 🙂

The She Reads Truth Bible that just released last week is like the grown-up version of your daughter’s Bible! You should check it out. I got one for myself and am in love!

I agree about the She Reads Truth Bible. It would be a great one for you that would be beautiful and have lots of art in it like Presley’s. The coral linen cover is so pretty.

I have not seen this artistic bible…definitely think Carly Jo would love that. She has the same one you bought Luke right now and she is probably on the verge of outgrowing it. Thanks for sharing!
