Hey, y’all!! It’s the last Thursday of the month which means it is time for Carpool Book Club!
Each month, I share about the books that I’ve read, and this month was full of great reads! These are the books that sit on my nightstand and that I read as a busy mama of 3 kids who are always on the go. Before I started reading, I had a lot of empty space during the in between time. You know, the time when I am waiting for an appointment or sitting with the kids outside….picking up a good book is my favorite way to pass that extra time. 🙂 So, here we go!
Here are our picks for this month!
This book is the perfect beach read…it has a little scandal and intrigue but a sweet happy ending. I felt like it was a tiny bit long but still enjoyable an fun! Also, I found the characters to be very likable, so I was really rooting for them all along! You will love this one!
Several of my friends read this one, so I was super pumped to dive into it!! It is not like anything I’ve read recently, and it totally reminded me of the way Jane Austen tells a story but set in modern day. I was really expecting the characters to be a little wilder (like Bravo TV wild ;)) because of the title, but it wasn’t that at all! It was a great change of pace! I am thinking I may pick up the sequel soon!
Behind Closed DoorsOkay, this book was creepy as heck, but it kept my attention the whole time! I spent a good part of the book just weirded out and a little angry about what was going on, but the storytelling was spot on and it kept me hooked from beginning to end! This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you like a good thriller…then this is your read.
My final book is this Bible Study! I picked it up on Amazon to do over the summer. It was really hard to find my footing to begin with for this study, but it has turned out to be such a blessing in the long run. I’ve done many Beth Moore studies, but this one started out with lots of scripture research and history/geography. I just have a hard time making my way through anything super academic…so I struggled, and I almost put it aside because of it. Heavens, I am so thankful that I stuck with it, because it has pushed me in addition to providing so much valuable insight! So, if you’d like a challenge….I say go for it. And, if you picked this up last month, because I mentioned it….I encourage you to keep pushing through! It’s well worth it!

I think I will try Crazy Rich Asians this month and I’m interested to see what you think of One True Loves. I highly recommend you read Emily Giffin’s The One and Only. It’s a beach read with football thrown in! And it takes place in North Texas! So good!
Have a great weekend!

Behind Closed Doors was so creepy you just could not put it down. I completed Entrusted at church, Ladies Bible Study, and if you watch the videos, like someone suggested, it might help. It waa pretty academic, for a Beth Moore study.
Lastly, your link for Identicals is linking to another book, just wanted to let you know!!
