Road Trip!

Hey, y’all!!  Today, I am sharing our long weekend with family in Michigan!!   Robert was born and raised in Michigan, so we love to pack our crew up and visit his family!   Our favorite time to go is in the summertime, because the weather is always perfect compared to our super hot summers in Texas!  This year did not disappoint!

This was the day that we arrived, and it dropped down to 75-80 degrees for the rest of our trip!  Just perfect!   We visited Rob’s small hometown, Hemlock, MI…and it was just as sweet as ever!

I had all of the heart eyes for this cute red barn!

This is the dugout that Rob sat in growing up, so it was extra sweet to have a picture of these cousins there as well!

We were feeling all the Friday vibes!

On Friday , we grabbed lunch at the Farmer’s Home–they have the best burgers on the planet, and it did not disappoint this time either!

That night, we hung out with Rob’s friend from school…we grilled and swam and played Badminton….I totally forgot to take pictures there, but we had a blast!

The next morning, we woke up at went over to Dow Gardens for some family pictures!   Our theme was red white and blue!

This area is just so pretty!   I could spend all day there!

Plus, there’s a cute children’s area in the middle!   It really is so much fun!

Here’s a little sneak peek of the family pics!!

And, that night, Rob’s sister in law bought tickets for all of the girls to go and see the Kidz Bop concert that was in town!  Isn’t that so sweet! 🙂

I wasn’t sure about what to think about this, but this was actually SO FUN!

On Sunday, we headed over to Frankenmuth, MI….this is about 25 minutes from where we were staying!  It’s an adorable German-inspired town, and we make sure to go an visit each year!

Just so cute!  We ate at Tiffany’s for lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping in the sweet little stores on the main street.

This ferry reminds me of a ferry out of a picture book!   Just so sweet and picturesque!

Also, in town they were having a cherry pie eating contest…and Presley was ALL ABOUT this. 🙂

We hula hooped and had all kinds of fun!

Our last stop in Frankenmuth was at Bronner’s!  This is the world’s largest Christmas store, and we make sure to visit each year so that they kids can pick out a Christmas ornament!

This is one of our favorite places to visit each year!

It really was such a great trip!   Friends, Family, great weather…what else could we ask for! 😉  Happy Monday, y’all!!  Hope you have a great day! XOXO
