Carpool Book Club

Hey, y’all!! It’s the last Thursday of the month which means it is time for Carpool Book Club!

Each month, I share about the books that I’ve read!   These are the books that sit on my nightstand and that I read as a busy mama of 3 kids who are always on the go! Before I started reading, I had a lot of empty space during the in between time.  You know, the time when I am waiting for an appointment or sitting with the kids outside….picking up a good book is my favorite way to pass that extra time now .  🙂  I have a great list this month, so sit back and enjoy!  You are going to love it all!

ONE

First off is this book, and…oh my goodness!   I was on a non-fiction kick this month, and I just couldn’t stop.  I picked this one up as a recommendation from Amazon, and it kept my attention from beginning to end.  Leah Remini isn’t afraid to use some colorful language in her storytelling, so if you have sensitive ears this may not be for you! I did enjoy her candid nature and hearing about her story!  Super Interesting!

TWO

So, some girlfriends and I were chatting about Gilmore Girls, and on a whim I picked up this one….I am so glad that I did!  She spent a lot of time discussing what filming Gilmore Girls was like and her relationships and experiences! The next time you are needing a Gilmore Girls fix and don’t have time to rewatch the series, you should definitely pick up this book!  She references the show a ton, and you will love it!

THREE

Are you sensing a theme?  I guess I needed a break from plot lines this month.  haha.  Anyway, I am a big fan of Melanie Shankle’s writing, and I knew that I needed to read this book when I saw it release recently! Melanie just has a way with words, is super funny, and I love her thoughts this in book!   I think this was my favorite book from this month! I laughed out loud the whole way through!

FOUR

After I read my first Kristan Higgins book last month, I was addicted!   I read another this month, and it did not disappoint!   Her books are light and a great easy read!  This book was a little less campy and predictable than the first one I read , so if you prefer that….then you might just go ahead and start here!

FIVE

Each month, I like to read something a little scarier….and this month’s choice was just that: SCARY.  Most of my reading happens before bedtime right now because of my schedule….and this book made me legitimately hear all kinds of weird and scary noises after I put it down and went to bed.  haha.  I tend to have a pretty thick skin when it comes to thrillers, but this one messed me up! So, make sure you set your home alarm before you read this one…or maybe read it next to a friend in the daylight hours! 😉 It was so good!

What’s Coming Up!

Want to know what’s coming up?  Here is what I have planned!

I keep on trying to start this one and then setting it down.  Maybe this will be the month for this one too! 🙂

Looks like I have a fun month of reading ahead! Woohoo!  What books have you read this month?  Leave a comment with your faves, or you can link up below!  Happy Thursday, friends!

  1. I have those last two on my to read list! I’m so glad you’re reading Winter Street! I’m on the third one in the series right now and waiting to start the fourth. I read the first two so quickly because they’re such fun easy reads!
