What’s Going on

Hey, y’all!  Happy Npvember 1st!! I feel like it’s been a sweet forever since I shared what was going on over here in our neck of the woods.  Right now, we are busy finishing up Fall Sports, coming off being down a week from the Poison Ivy  (why does it take at least two weeks to catch up for every one week you miss? haha!), celebrating Halloween, Presley’s birthday party, and transitioning into the Holidays and Christmas!  It’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos this time of the year, but November 1 will always hold a special place in my heart.  We found out that we were expecting our Luke, exactly 10 years ago on this very day! It took us about 4 years to get pregnant with him, and that was just a hard and broken road to travel….and, here we are 10 years later, with all 3 of our kids…and we just couldn’t be more thankful!

So, what’s going on around in these parts?  Oh, just a little bit of soccer fun!

followed by a volleyball doubleheader for good measure

It was dress like a superhero/your hero day recently, and the kids were anxious to recreate their costumes from Superhero day last year. 🙂  They dressed as their mama and daddy.  I think you probably know that we are not even close to being superheroes, but we will happily accept hero status from their sweet hearts.

Here they are in 2016.

and this year. 😉

We hit up our church’s trunk or treat

My friend Karla and I worked the welcome area, and this is always a good time with this crazy girl!  Richard Simmons came to visit us.  He was hysterical!

Luke received an award at his shool–we are so proud of this cute boy’s hard work.

New hair cuts had these two looking super grown up….

And I totally had to laugh when I was doing sessions Monday night.  Did any of you read the Breakdown recently like me?  This road reminds me so much of the road where the murder happened!

I shared with y’all  that this book SERIOUSLY scared me, but I couldn’t even make myself  GET OUT OF THE CAR until my clients arrived.  I was pertrified! haha!  I am scarred for life, y’all! 😉

And, finally, I will leave you with a little series of videos that I posted over on my IG stories last week.  It had Presley and I laughing so hard.   Luke was trying to say the word Specific, and well, we all kind of fell apart during his attempts.

Luke is a ham in front of the camera, and he enjoyed the attention. 😉

  1. Why, oh why did those fresh haircuts make them look so much older?! And what a special day today is. ❤️❤️

  2. I can’t believe I forgot to tell you that I laughed and laughed about the “specific” videos. They expired before I remembered to show Carter, so I will be showing him these today! Specific is a freaking hard word, but dang he’s cute trying to say it!

  3. Hi Narci – I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your blog – I appreciate so much your positive outlook on life and I always feel reminded to be thankful and not focus on the negative day-to-day things when I read your blog. I also enjoy your beautiful photos, fashion, and recipes! I appreciate that you keep it real and you seem to truly appreciate what you have.

  4. Narci, your positive energy translates across the web! Not sure how that happens, but it does!
Throwing it back, but I was so glad to hear your testimony a few months back. Thanks for taking us along for the ride day to day on here!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
