Workin’ it Wednesday!

Hey, y’all!!  I am so happy to be linking up with Shay and Erika, for their fun LINK-UP….Workin’ It Wednesdays!!

Truth be told: I am a busy girl….I manage three precious kiddos, their commitments, a photography business, this blog, a fun Stella and Dot gig, and much more.   I can’t wait to share what’s worked for our little family and read about your awesome tips, too.   My best ideas always come from my friends, so I am excited to plug into this set of topics!

Today, we are sharing about how we keep sane during the Holidays!   This time of the year can be CUH-razy, and it so easy to feel overhwhelmed.  So, here’s what works for our little family!

Don’t over schedule yourself or your kids

I love nothing more than a festive celebration, but we would make ourselves plum crazy if we tried to be ALL IN on everything.  So, we tend to pick our favorite Holiday parties,  activities, and the kids’ winter sports to be involved in.  My favorite part of this?  It gives us the extra space that our family needs…the time to cuddle on the couch, take spur of the moment trips to see Christmas lights, do some Christmas crafting,  or sip hot cocoa together.  🙂

Use your phone and your written planner to keep organized.

This is something new for me this Fall and Winter, but it has been great!!  Rob and I have a shared calendar on our phones of all the kids games and practices, social calendar and family events…and then I use my paper planner for my every day schedule, work schedule, and to do lists.  This helps us stay organized and in sync during the Holidays!  This has been such a lifesaver for us!

Start your day off in the Word

It is amazing the difference that starting your day in the Word will bring!  Start with a simple devotional and go from there!  This is the best way to stay centered and focused any time of the year!

Be gentle with your expectations of others (and yourself)

I always say that the fastest way to a bad day is expecting more than the people around you are able to give. Extend GRACE on top of GRACE to yourself and those around you, and I promise it will make your Christmas much less stressful. 🙂

Keep it fun

This season is all about CELEBRATING!  So, keep it fun, savor the small and big moments,  and enjoy the people in your little world!

I can’t wait to read other ladies’ tips!  What a fun link-up friends!  Thank you so much!  Happy Wednesday, y’all! XOXO Narci
