Each month, we share all about how we handle different areas of our life. I am excited to dive into these different topics!
Truth be told: I am a busy girl….I manage three precious kiddos, their commitments, a photography business, this blog, a fun Stella and Dot gig, and much more. I can’t wait to share what’s worked for our little family and read about your awesome tips, too. My best ideas always come from my friends, so I am excited to hear what you have to say as well!
Today, we are talking about how we do New Years’ resolutions, goals, and such. And, let’s be real…January is a popular time to be setting goals, so this couldn’t be better timing!
I tend to not set overly dramatic resolutions, but I do love setting goals! This year, I decided to do things a little differently! Like normal, I divided my goals into work, personal, and family. I think the work ones are a little boring, but I’ll list my main one here just in case photography is your thing. If not, you can skim past this part. 😉
-Offer online photography class–people have been asking me to do this forever, and this is the year that it will finally happen! I am so excited about teaching new camera users a few things about their cameras! If you are interested, stay tuned for details on that. 🙂
I haven’t really talked about this here (or anywhere else for that matter), but I have a small confession to make. Since I shared my testimony in front of a large group last March, I have had some offers to share it again or just speak in general…mainly from other churches and such. And, I have said no to everything, because #extremestagefright and also because I just wasn’t sure that I was meant to share my story again (or really share much of anything again!)….but God has been working on my heart…So, I’ve gone ahead and said yes to a few requests for 2018 that I felt called to…. I seriously broke out in a NERVOUS SWEAT just typing that, but I know that He will work out the details of all those opportunities. He is in the business of taking messy people like me and shining His Glory through their fumbling ways…I am resting on that promise for this one, people. ;). If I don’t delete this paragraph and cancel those speaking opportunities by the time this posts, then you will know that Satan didn’t win for today. haha.
For our family, we decided to do something completely different and create a Monthly Bucket List with simple and fun things to make us more intentional about spending time together. I feel like it’s so hard to move from saying you want to be more intentional…to actually being more intentional. So, that’s how we decided to do the Monthly Bucket List. 🙂 Each month only has one item, because we are busy by nature and I want to keep this fun and easy for our crew. Some of these bucket list items are serving-centered, some are just plain fun, and some are a little bit silly! We’ve already planned it all out, and here’s what we have!
Clean out drawers, closets, toys, and anything that collects extra stuff! SIMPLIFY. I am thinking this will take all month to accomplish! 🙂
We felt like this one was kind of lame (even though sorely needed), so we decided to add this is as well….
Have a spontaneous Family adventure!
I’ll be talking about both though!
Set up and Operate a Hot Cocoa Stand.
Visit a city that you’ve never been to. 🙂
Take a treat to the Police or Fire Station
Living Room Campout!
Go for a Family Bike Ride
Go Berry Picking
Volunteer for Meals on wheels
Visit a Farmers Market
Have a Nerf Gun War
Have a Leaf Fight
Go on a Carriage Ride
Each month, I will share about how we do on our Monthly Bucket List. 🙂 I can’t wait to check these off our list and show you how we did it! It’s going to be a great 2018.
I hope you enjoyed a peak into my goals for 2018. Also, Thanks so much for the fun link up ladies! Happy Wednesday! XOXO Narci
