Happy Monday, friends!! I hope you had the best weekend! We had a quiet weekend over here at the Dreffs’ house! It was perfection!
Today is our awesome monthly feature, Photo 101, which is all about photography! It has been a big hit with you guys, and I am so happy to be answering your photo-related questions again and sharing a few tips along the way!! Each month, we will talk about various topics. So far, we’ve discussed:
taking great pictures with your iPhone
and planning outfits for family pictures
And, this month, I am sharing about what’s in my camera bag! Because, I know you guys are curious…I am sharing the camera that I started out with, the one I bought when I wanted to upgrade several years ago, and the one that I ordered recently! Woohoo!
Camera Bag: Kelly Moore Bag
I just love this bag so much! It’s pretty, and super functional with several pockets on the inside!
I always put my keys and phone in the front pockets, and it even fits my MacBook Pro as well! Win-Win! Now, let’s check out what’s actually IN my camera bag!
Canon Rebel: My first DSLR and a great Entry Level option!
This camera is an excellent option if you are interested in a beginner DSLR! This was my first camera to learn photography on!
It is a intuitive camera and great for snapping great shots of your kids. Also, this camera is super popular, so there are tons of tutorials on the internet and youtube! My sweet kiddos spent a lot of time in front of this little camera! :).
Nikon D750: Great Mid-Level Camera
So, a few years after I bought my first camera, I decided to invest is a more Complex camera! I bought a version of this camera all those years ago, and it is still hanging tough today! It’s a great option if you are considering diving a little deeper into the technical side of shooting! Once you really get the hang of shooting manual, many photographers find themselves wanting a slightly more sophisticated camera. This for the bill perfectly!
This was the perfect camera to build a business with and great in all sorts of shooting conditions!
Nikon D850
So, my current camera is about 7 years old, so I decided last Fall that it was time to upgrade! I’ve been on the backorder list for this camera since November! It’s just basically a newer version of my current camera, but I am super pumped about the option of being able to take videos and a few other bells and whistles!
I can’t wait to share my reviews of this camera later this Spring!
My favorite lenses
Wondering what lenses I carry around? My favorite lenses are this 50 mm lens…
and this versatile zoom lens. I tend to use this one most for my portrait photography! I like to be able to zoom when photographing small kids and this 2.8 aperture is pretty much perfect for a pretty portrait look. 🙂
So, there you go! That’s what is in my camera bag! Tomorrow, we are back with our very first Q and A post! I am answering YOUR questions from our survey tomorrow! It should be a blast! XOXO Narci
