30A trip: Day 3 & 4

Hey, y’all!! Happy Wednesday from my neck of the woods to yours!! This week, I am sharing all about our trip to 30a!  30A is a gorgeous stretch of beaches just east of the Destin area, and this was our very first time to stay in this particular part of Florida.  We’ve been vacationing in the Sandestin area since before Jackson was born, but this year we wanted to try something a little different!   Yesterday, I shared about Days 1 and 2 of our trip, and today I am sharing all about Days 3 and 4.  Let’s get started!

Day 3 started with the prettiest view….We had another great day of weather! yahoo!

Couldn’t be any more perfect if we tried!

Our whole crew had a blast in the gorgeous waters…I am not lying when I say that I am trying to book another trip there this summer! 🙂

Give me all the crystal waters and white sandy beaches…:)

Our crew had the best time enjoying the gorgeous beaches in Seagrove that day!

Total Side note: A lot of you asked how tall Jackson is now, and he’s gaining on 6’2″! Both of his grandpas are tall, so we aren’t surprised that at least one of our kiddos inherited this height!   🙂

Here he is a little over a year ago!   Oh my, how he has grown!

After a full day at the beach, we went back to our condo, cleaned up, and headed to Bud and Alley’s pizzeria for dinner!   Everyone was a big fan!Oh, how I love this sweet crew….we had such a great time together!

After we finished dinner, we headed to the Hub in Seagrove…

there was live music

and all kinds of delicious food!  We had some peel and eat shrimp and Key Lime Pie!   Yum!

It was the perfect ending to a really sweet night together!

We went to bed super late, but I was up early the next morning, because I was on a mission!   I posted on Instagram about how it was a little bit of competition for those front row beach spots where we were staying.

I just barely missed the front row the first two days (They only book them on a first come, first serve basis each day), but I was bound and determined to be on that front row on day 4 of our trip.  ;).

I may not be a lot of things, but when I decide something’s getting done…it’s getting done. haha!

So, yes, this is the no makeup, sleepy smile of a girl who woke up at 6:15 am on vacation (and didn’t even brush her teeth!) before she marched herself down to the beach and staked out a front row spot before they opened at 8.  I love nothing more than a good competition, y’all. 😉

On this particular day, we had a front row view of lots of beach play time

some gorgeous storm clouds rolling in

and lots of good times together!

After spending our day at the beach, we decided to head over to Rosemary Beach..our last stop on our tour of 30 A….People, this girl fell hard for the architecture and such there.  Oh my stars, was it pretty!

We had dinner on the town square

and listened to some more live music. 🙂

The best part of vacation is eating things like Fried Goat cheese for dinner right?

I have never seen a beach town quite like this one before…

It really was something else…very swanky and beautiful!  The photographer in me was in Heaven…everywhere I turned there was a picturesque spot to be photographed!

It’s so interesting how each town on 30A really does have it’s own unique vibe and people….I really couldn’t tell you which one I preferred (or where we will stay next time), but it was all very different and cool!   This day left me wishing I had booked a bunch of sessions in Rosemary or at least brought my camera, but what a gorgeous little spot tucked away in 30a!  We weren’t expecting this little jewel when we decided to head out this direction, but it was such a pleasant surprise!

Also, a lot of you have asked for details on our condo, and I will be sharing that plus more general thoughts on booking on 30A tomorrow in addition to our last few days of our trip!

Happy Wednesday, friends! XOXO Nrarci

  1. Three things: 1) YES M’AM to the fried goat cheese. 2) I cannot believe how much Jackson has grown! 3) Great pics of your sweet little family.
I’m so glad y’all had such a great time!

  2. 30A is our family’s happy place as well from Atlanta! Definitely check out Grayson Beach on your next trip- nestled between Seagrove and Seaside. It’s small and super local and referred to as Groovy Grayton – our face restaurant there is Chirango where the kids can play corn joke. While you lounge! And did you check out Ally’s Beach?! You’d lose your mind on the architecture there too! Love the beach pics!

  3. I’m not sure if I’m happy you are sharing about that little piece of paradise that is becoming overly crowded!! 😉 do glad you guys had a great time!
