Hey, y’all!! I am so happy to be back here with you! What a FUN week I have had! I mean so FUN! On Saturday, Rob and I went with our church youth group to summer camp in Oklahoma! I am not a camping girl or an outdoorsy kind of girl, so when God started putting it on my heart to go back in January, I was so taken aback! And, I was even more surprised when Rob wanted to go as well! So, Rob, Jackson, and I loaded up early Saturday morning and headed off to Stuart, Oklahoma….there wasn’t a Hilton or a Starbucks in sight, but we still had an absolute blast! 😉
I am not going to show you pics of the campers. Honestly, because I made such sweet relationships with those teens, and I am feeling a little protective of that and their privacy. So, you just get me rambling about what a blessing it was instead. haha!
We played volleyball, basketball, did all the Arts and Crafts, and when the teens got tired of us…we kept ourselves busy with adult dodgeball. haha!
My favorite part: loving on the precious rising sophomore girls in our cabin and digging into worship and discussion with our small group of high schoolers. Watching their Faith stretch over the week was such a gift…
We met a ton of NEW people that we just love, played pranks, and made so many memories that I could never forget!
Here’s the thing: I’ve never been dirtier in my life (so dusty and so sweaty! It took 3 showers to feel clean after leaving. haha!!!) But I also watched teens shake loose of the grip of the world, I watched them deepen their faith, I watched them tackle making their faith their own, and I watched them come to Him with abandon. God showed UP, and he showed up BIG. Such a blessing to watch it unfold!

In the few weeks leading up to us leaving for camp, a series of hard events happened in our little world…and I found myself questioning whether or not I was truly meant to go? I am so glad I didn’t give power to the doubt and fear…because then I would have missed out on this and a million more moments just as powerful.
We have 10 more years until Jackson, Luke and Presley are all graduated from high school (and youth camps), and I think it’s safe to say we will be back to camp every year until then.
Happy Thursday, friends! See you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites! XOXO Narci
