Tuesday Talk

Hey, y’all! Today, I am linking up with the sweetest girls, Ashley and Erika, for their fun link-up “Tuesday Talk!”

Each month, we link up and discuss a different topic, and I love getting help and ideas from you all!

This month, I am asking for help in an area that I always want to be improving! Prayer!

One of the most amazing things for me is that we have access to God in the form of prayer!   He wants us to have an open line of conversation with him!

One of my very favorite ways to pray is through a prayer journal…My journal is simple and just a simple notebook with daily entry  that includes my own prayers and the prayer requests of my friends.  I hopped on Pinterest to see if there were any creative ideas that I could add to it and saw this CUTE printable if you wanted to be more creative with your journaling time!!

So, tell me your tips on prayer!  I will happily take all your advice!  How do you find time to pray during the day or do you have any helpful tips for praying for you kids, your spouse, your friends? I think we all have something to gain in this area, so I am excited to hear what everyone has to say!

Thank you so much for the fun link up, girls!! Happy Tuesday! XOXO Narci

  1. I love this template here! I am one of those who likes to write down all of my prayers/thoughts/verses in a spiral. It’s always so amazing to read old ones and see how the Lord worked through everything in His own way.

  2. One of the things that I’m trying to actively improve is my ability to pray without ceasing. With all of Holt’s issues right now, I’m trying to be really mindful to intentionally pray for him every single time he pops into my head, which is frequently.

  3. This is such a great post! I have done lots of different things to enhance my prayer life. I believe that being intentional in your prayer life is key. God wants to have continuous open dialogue with us, he cares about us and desires us to actively seek HIM in all things we do. I find starting my day with quiet time is key. I have a few books I study through and have just recently starting using this really neat Prayer Journal called “Daily Joy”. A friend of mine put it together and it truly helps guide you through the different ways God tells us to pray. I think if you checked it out you might enjoy it! https://www.rad-joy.com/collections/prayer-cards/products/daily-joy

  4. I try to rewrite my prayer intentions each day when I journal. I think of something specific to pray for each member of my family and then pray for friends I know who are getting married, having a baby or have another prayer request/need. I like to write out any verses or sayings that stuck out to me in my reading that day and write out five “happies” at the end of the day. It also helps to have the Bible app on my phone that I can use to read verses or do plans with when I have an extra minute during the day but don’t necessarily have out my journal or other readings. I also downloaded a devotional on my Kindle for when I travel 🙂 I love reading along when you share what’s on your heart from your quiet time!
