How we do all things Christmas: Cinnamon Roll Edition

Hey, y’all!!  Today, I am linking up with Shay and Erika for their fun monthly link-up “How We” Wednesdays!

Each month, we share all about how we handle different areas of our life.

Today’s topic is all about how we do Christmas.   Honestly, we do a lot of celebrating this time of the year, so I decided to focus on just one of our favorite traditions! 🙂

Cinnamon Roll Christmas: This is our family last year. 🙂

Every year on Christmas Eve, the Dreffs’ family gets up super early and whips up some delicious batches of Cinnamon Rolls for our close friends.  We just love this opportunity to love on our “framily”! 🙂

This was my crew a few years ago.  Did I forget to mention that we always deliver in our Christmas Jammies?  It just makes everything more festive. 😉

Here they are the year before that.  So sweet!

The kids all love to help in the kitchen

We always prep the dough the night before and finish it up on christmas Eve morning.

And, several years ago, we started using CUTEST labels for the tops of our Cinnamon Rolls.

img_5872I find our labels at Erin Condren and I usually order our ribbon and bows of Amazon.

We always have so much fun delivering to our friends!

I am so thankful for such a fun tradition. Seeing all of our friends at their door on Christmas Eve morning makes it so fun for our kids, and I am hoping we can keep this little tradition going until we are empty nesters.  We will see!

In case you love a to-do list like me, I put together a Cinnamon Roll Christmas To-Do List just for you!

Cinnamon Roll Christmas Check List

1. Make a list of Friends and Family  who you will be baking for. 🙂 You can let them know you are coming, SURPRISE THEM, or just leave them on their front step! 🙂

2.  Buy Disposable Round Baking Pans with tops…labels and bows make it even more fun! Be creative. 🙂

3.  Find a great Cinnamon Roll Recipe (I love this one!)

4.  Have fun when you deliver: matching PJs and jingle bells are all fun, but not necessary! 🙂

You and your friends will love this tradition.  Happy Wednesday, y’all!! Thank you for the fun link up, girls! XOXO Narci

  1. You’re right…your friends love this tradition! Maybe even more than you do!! I’m looking forward to Christmas Eve for many reasons! 😉

  2. I love this tradition you have! Growing up, my mom worked as a baker in an elementary school kitchen and made some killer cinnamon rolls. One of of my favorite memories is watching her make then at home for the holiday and cutting them to size using dental floss! I know it sounds crazy, but it worked like a charm.

  3. I love this idea and would love to start this tradition. Do you deliver the cinnamon rolls while they are warm? I know this sounds crazy but I’m wondering if it’s okay to put the lid on them before they have cooled. Thanks for sharing this !

  4. So fun! I make a batch of cinnamon rolls too, however, I don’t deliver them. What a blessing to your friends and a fun tradition for your family!

I love to hear from you! Leave a comment here! :) XO Narci
