Happy Thursday! I hope you have had an amazing week! We had the best time at the beach. I really don’t have a big, formal recap this time around. Basically, we beached hard, we ate a lot of great food, and we filled up our tanks that were feeling a little empty. It was nearly perfect.
We stopped in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area the first day and spent the night there. We know so many people who are diehard fans of this area, so we had to see what all the hype was about.
We had dinner at the Hangout, and it did not disappoint. It was so fun!
Just from our quick trip, we noticed that this area is so super laid back. I can totally see why lots of people love it. It has a fun vibe for sure. The next morning, we had a very quick breakfast and loaded up and headed to our final destination: Sandestin, FL. We spent the next 4 days at the Hilton Sandestin. Our heart lies in this little stretch of beach in Florida. 🙂 We’ve been taking the kids here for too many years to count, and it never disappoints.
We had a great view of the pool and ocean from our room. So special!
We brought some of the cutest floats, and they were sheer perfection for the water. I will make sure to link up to them tomorrow in my Friday Favorites.
In my happy place!
Luke and I have an intense love for the sand and the ocean. Sign us up!
The hotel sets up chairs and an umbrella for you, and we took full advantage of this and the waitress that came and took our lunch order every single day. We really were living the life! 🙂
There is an ice cream shoppe there as well. I should point out that this post is not in any way sponsored by the hotel, but we enjoy it so much!
Rob and I are already planning next year’s trip. The beach and water are just good for the soul.
We ate so well during this trip. The Destin and 30A has so many great restaurants to choose from. We went over to Baytowne Wharf, which was across the street from our resort, the first night and ate at Hammerheads. We love this place and Poppy’s next door. The Shrimp Queso was fantastic. Just delicious!
The next night we went into Seaside and ate at Bud & Alley’s pizzeria. We ate with (or actually next to haha!) Jason Witten and sadly he did not ask to best friends or hang out after dinner. 😉 They were super sweet though. 🙂
The next night we traveled down to Rosemary Beach for dinner, I just love this town. I met this adorable family and two others for a beach session during our trip, and this ended up being such a good idea. I love when two things that I love collide!
Oh, and we did a little bit of shopping of course! Sadly, I didn’t pick up any treasures this time around, but it was so super fun to walk around!
Presley found the sweetest edition of the Little Princess to add to her book shelf.
The sunsets did not disappoint
the beach towns gave us all the heart eyes….
and we even finished out trip with something sweet to finish the fun!
On our last morning, I got up early to catch the sunrise, and it was truly an experience. See if you catch the subtle differences in the light and color.
These were all taken with my iPhone. 🙂
Slowly getting brighter. 🙂
After seeing this early morning light, I am hoping one of my clients will be up for that 5:30 call time next visit, because it’s truly magical. 🙂
Oh, Florida. You were good to us. Rob and I decided that we needed to retire here. 🙂
Happy Thursday, friends! See you back here tomorrow for our Friday Favorites! XOXO Narci
