Hey, y’all!! Today, I am sharing some of the tips that we’ve gathered while vacationing in the Destin, Florida area over the past several years. This area is so special to me and my family! We go annually, and my hopes are to be bringing my grandbabies someday! It’s a great place to vacation with your family!

We drive from the Dallas area! We break out all of the fun stuff that we don’t normally do alot of: candy, DVD players, and all of the electronics! And, they have the best time during our drive down!
Every year, we stay at the Hilton in Sandestin. There are lots of amazing places to stay in the area, but we LOVE this hotel! It is located directly on the beach, offers beach setup and drink/food service on the beach, and is just so convenient!
The view is amazing!
I love sitting on our patio, and reading before the rest of the family wakes up! So peaceful!
And, we spend plenty of time on that beautiful beach!

Last year, we stayed on 30A and loved it. I think we might rotate our favorite hotel and 30A each year to keep it fresh! Friends, this area is so cute!
Seaside, Watercolor, and Rosemary Beach are darling…Honestly, it doesn’t get more picturesque than this! There are lots of delicious restaurants along the way, and the grilled cheese at the food trucks in Seaside is EVERYTHING. 🙂
Some of our favorite restaurants in this area are The Great Southern Cafe, Bud and Alley’s, and Summer Kitchen.
In the actual Destin and Sandestin area, one of our favorite spots for dinner is Harborwalk Village!
We love having dinner at Harry T’s because they have the most delicious Fried Shrimp in town. Plus, the view is amazing!
Also, there are usually some cute activities for kids and a main stage where you can catch a free performance!
Also, we love to visit Baytowne Wharf!
Isn’t it so pretty at night? We love to walk around, and check out all of the cute shops!!
We love to eat at Poppy’s Seafood restaurant or Hammerhead’s while we are there and then grab a shake at the ice cream shop down the street!

The view at Poppy’s 🙂
All in all, we always have an amazing time!
If you have any tips for the Destin area, leave them in the comments section! The more, the merrier!
Happy Monday, y’all!! XOXO Narci

Thank you for the great tips!! We are heading to the 30A area (staying around Watersound) in a couple of weeks for the first time, and I love to hear recommendations from people who know and love the area!

Love the 30A area! I love Bud & Alley’s in Seaside, Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, and Cafe Thirty A in Seagrove . My favorite restaurant, however, is Louis Louis in Santa Rosa. The smoked tuna dip and crab cakes are to die for. It’s definitely worth the 15 minute drive. Highly recommend!

Louisiana Lagniappe (sp) is a great restaurant, Destin I think. I have the same picture from my room at Sandestin Hilton. Love the hotel, the employees are wonderful, too.

We love it there. We would go pretty much every year if not spring break over the summer. We ended up buying a place on 30A in Santa Rosa beach block from beach off Eastern Lake. Sleeps 18. If ever interested vrbo name is “Family Tides”. Has own private pool. Couple weeks ago we were there beach was closed due to currents was nice being by the lake we were still able to play in the water was so nice. Also can ride bike to Seacrest or the Hub. Hub has lots of entertainment for the kids and music in the evenings lots of different choices for food. Old fish house is a nice bike ride or a little walk. Has great food, a wine place and outside activity games for kids while you relax have a glass of wine and just opened a good ice cream place.

I’m somewhat of a local to the 30A/Destin area, just over the Alabama line. We go all the time since it’s only about an hour and fifteen minutes away. Louisiana Lagniappe and Boshamps’s are both delish! The Red Bar in Grayton is also amazing. It burnt down last Spring but they are rebuilding!
