I don’t know about you, but I love to host. I mean, I really do enjoy it! 🙂 When our kids were younger, we often were hosting families, and these days we are more likely to be hosting the kids and their friends.
On any given Friday night, we are doing a headcount on how many cute kids we have to feed. We also host Holidays, birthday parties, church groups, girls’ nights, and a lot of football watching.
Recently, I had to feed the high school football coaches, and asked everyone on IG stories for some more ideas for feeding large groups of people. I needed some fresh ideas, and, let me tell you, you all delivered!
Today, I am not sharing specific recipes, just ideas….So let this be your jumping board and then search Pinterest…or my favorite food blogger, who has the best recipes, for the perfect meal. Here we go!
“Make your own” Bar
This idea was quite popular! and there were so many fantastic variations on this
Make your own Taco Bar
Make your own Baked Potato Bar
Fajita Station
Make your own Sandwich Bar

This is what I did for the coaches this year and in years past. And, really the possibilities are ENDLESS. Serve with a salad and some garlic bread, and you are set!
Baked Ziti
Baked Alfredo and Bacon
Baked Spaghetti
Lasagna
Taco Pasta
Spaghetti and Meatballs
Other Ideas
Serve these with a variety of rolls and some mac and cheese, and you will make everyone happy!
Sloppy Joes

Meatball Subs
If you have another great idea for feeding large groups, leave it in the comments. See you back here tomorrow for What’s up Wednesday! XOXO Narci

Great ideas! It takes me back to the year I made fifteen pounds of taco meat for a D-Now group. Let me just say…I over estimated on the ground beef situation.

I’m DYING at Erika! 15 pounds seems aggressive. 🙂 And I wish I loved to host as much as you do. It stresses me out, similar to a birthday party.

The easiest and most popular over the years for us has been Italian Sausage & Meatball Subs. I sauté the Italian Sausage links and cut it in the same size as the meatballs. Then put the sausage and meatballs in the crockpot with Prego and let it simmer on low. When it’s time to feed the big group, I put out nice sub buns and shredded mozzarella. It’s always well-received and so easy! You can add peppers and onions if you know your company likes them!

Yes to “make your own” bars!! They feed a crowd PLUS people can add as much or as little as they love!! Love this! Side note: K wore those pjs pants just last night, and I’m pretty sure that pic today is like 3 years old. No wonder they looked short on her!! Hahahaha!
