Hey, y’all!! The nights are darker over here, and our schedule is starting to slow down just a bit. This time of the year, we like to snuggle under a cozy blanket and take advantage of the time together. Today, I am sharing about one of our very favorite cozy night Christmas traditions: The Candy Cane Flashlight hunt!
This tradition is perfect for cold, winter nights when you need something fun and festive without leaving the house! So, first things first, we picked up some candy canes from our local grocery store!
Three years ago, we found some at our store with Bible verses attached. I loved that! This year, they didn’t have these, so we just picked up the standard candy canes.
It’s really quite simple. While the kids are out of sight, you hide the candy canes around your house. Think Easter egg hunt, but with candy canes. 🙂
And, then the kids find all the candy canes using their flashlights.
Using your flashlight just makes everything more fun!
She found one!
and another!
And, of course, you have to count to make sure you found them all!!
Easy Peasy, and so much fun!!
A simple and fun activity for the Christmas season. Enjoy! XOXO Narci
