Hey, hey! Happy Monday from my house to yours! My kids head back to school tomorrow, so we have one more day before we settle into our full routine. :). If you need me today, I am making all the lists, getting a bit of work in, and enjoying one last day of relaxation
We had a great Christmas break…this year, we enjoyed the easy nature of our current stage/ages of our kiddos. Technically, we did less but enjoyed it more. That’s funny, right? There was lots of cozy couch time, spur of the moment baking, board games, and sweet moments together. A perfect Christmas.
Our break started with silly Christmas sweaters and festive fun
and after pick up on the last day of school, I took these two to Ice at the Gaylord. We had fun, but I think I picked the wrong day to go. Yes, the resort was empty but I think the kids were just tired from being at school. Next time I will choose more wisely!
The exhibit really was spectacular!
This year, we didn’t get to as many Chrismtas parties as we would have liked to. We had the best of intentions, but our schedule just did not allow for it this year. Our kids are just in a busy season. At the last minute, we were able to sneak in some silly fun with our small group to celebrate Christmas!
Christmas has been Luke making us laugh…
and a few GORGEOUS sunsets
It was a little Christmas celebration with Luke’s team
And Daisy continuing to live her best life. haha.
Life has been cinnamon roll deliveries
and stops at Buc-ees in our jammies.
We celebrated the birth of our Savior at church on Christmas eve
where I saw great friends
and my favorite BFF
Christmas break was cookies for Santa
and taking a minute to rest and relax.
Daisy and Dixie even got into the Christmas Spirit.
I started a new challenge to read 36 books this year, and I’ve already started on my 4th since Christmas. This one is so cute and sweet. I definitely recommend it!
These are the days, y’all! I never want to forget them! Now, onto our normal routine. It’s going to feel so good to be back in the groove tomorrow. Hope you have a great start to your week! See you back here tomorrow!

I’m kicking and screaming that break is over. We are realllllllllly good at the slower pace. Luke cracked us up in his Elmo head for the cinnamon roll delivery! Oh, and we LOVE the “God Loves You Alot” rock! I meant to text you the other day when we found it!

We did so much less this year and enjoyed it so much more too. In fact I’ve pretty much decided to change nothing next year (well I could do without the day surgery 2 days before Christmas but other than that I’d love to keep it just like this year!).

I love that you said “We did less and enjoyed it more.” You nailed it! I am going to strive for that in 2020.
