Happy Wednesday, y’all!  Whew!  Yesterday was rough.  I started feeling badly Monday morning and by Monday night, I wanted to cry becuase I felt so badly.  I am glad to say that I am feeling SO much better today.  Yay!!  Sadly, it messed up our day in the life yesterday, but I will plan on doing one of those again very soon!

Now that we’ve recapped Christmas and my kids headed back to school yesterday…I thought it might be the perfect time to share a little life update for us over here.  You know: a little update of where we stand as we begin this FUN new year.

I titled this post “Brave”, because it’s my word for the year, and it’s so reflective of the update that I wanted to share with y’all today.

I wrote this little tidbit below on my Facebook Photography just before Christmas and it sums up things pretty nicely. 🙂

“Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for entrusting your special memories to this little photography company. In doing so, you’ve supported these faces…my family… and I couldn’t be more thankful for it all. We’ve gotten engaged, had babies, buried family members, we’ve prayed for each other, chased toddlers, we’ve cried, we’ve laughed until our sides hurt…. and I couldn’t be more grateful for the memories we’ve created together. Thank you, thank you, friends. We’re all basically family here now, right?

A little news among family then: On December 2nd, I took a position with a sweet company that allows me to only work when these three loves are in school. This will allow me to be present at all the soccer games, Friday night lights, and the moments in between that this mama has sorely missed out on while working nights and weekends all these years. You will still find me here…just in a much smaller capacity. As any mama knows, these seasons go by too quickly and I just don’t want to miss one more beat of it. ❤️😍🥰 Please feel free to always reach out for your sessions as don’t ever envision putting my camera down completely. I’ll always be the girl who puts sticks up her nose for a good laugh. It’s hard not to be that girl after 15 years, honestly. 🤣

Here’s to going where He leads, new chapters, and new and kind of scary things. ❤️😍 I love you all so much! Hugs and Love- Narci”

So, yes, I am SO VERY EXCITED to share that I took a position with a company based out of Dallas.  Basically, we offer opportunities for companies on a local and national level to provide branded school supplies to schools in their community.  And, honestly, It’s been going so well.  When Rob lost his job, we knew that my job would need to change to something more tangible and it’s been truly humbling to watch Him weave this journey to where we landed.  In a process that one could only claim to be His, God turned what was supposed to be a very tough and practical decision into something that so exceeded my every hope and desire.  Won’t He do it.  🙂

Since my new position does have such flexible hours I’m still doing photography on a limited basis…but in a capacity that reflects where our family is right now.  So, you can still always contact me for that, and I will be in touch for sure.

So, a little bit of a TWIST over here for our family and just another example of how God has used what was hard to build something even better than what was before.  I can already testify to how this new position has blessed our family.  Being present for our kids is such a gift, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it.

We stand in awe of where He leads and how He is faithful to every detail that He lays upon our heart.  Father, thank you for the hard times, because we continue to see beauty in the middle of the pain.  We love you so much…

Fun times ahead!

XOXO Narci

      • Narci, you and your husband will remain in my prayers! Do you mind sharing the line of business he is in? I just made a career move but I know a number of people in the tech field in Texas so if you’d be interested in some recommendation please feel free to shoot me an email!

  2. Such a raw and honest post. You are one of my favorite bloggers because you share the real story, life. You don’t just put on this fake happy happy happy and try to get everyone to click restyle links. You genuinely connect with your readers.

I wish you and your family all the best on this new chapter in your life xoxo
