Simple Homemade Donuts

Hey, hey! Happy Thursday, y’all!  I am over here trying my best to feel better today. Just know that the struggle is real. haha!

Today, I am sharing my favorite FUN recipe. It’s easy as pie and a super exciting recipe to surprise your kiddos with!  I made these over Christmas break, and they were fantastic as always. Enjoy! XOXO Narci

  • 1 tube canned refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or more, to taste
  • Oil for frying

  1. Heat the oil in a large, deep skillet or deep fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a donut cutter (or the cap from a 2 liter soda bottle), cut the center from each biscuit.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
  4. Place a few donuts in the pan of hot oil, being careful not to crowd the pan. Fry until golden brown on one side, about 1-2 minutes, and then flip and fry until gold brown on the other side.
  5. Remove and drain on a paper towel lined plate.
  6. Shake each donut in the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat.
  7. Serve hot.

  1. If you have an air fryer, try these in there! I do 4-6 minutes on the first side, then just a couple more on the other. We also top ours with some piped (Pilsbury, let’s be honest) frosting and sprinkles 🙂
