Happy Monday, friends! Well, alot has happened since we chatted last. Last night, I looked at Rob and said “How on earth am I supposed to write a blog post when our nation is walking through uncertain times?” Saying the right, encouraging thing always weighs on me….but In the end, I just decided to speak from my heart (it’s all I know how to do, really.) and let the rest work itself out.
This week, we learned all about Social Distancing. All of our club sports, social engagements, and school have been cancelled through the week.
For the most part, we’ve kept ourselves pretty quarantined….Luke has asthma which makes him fall into one of the at risk categories for covid-19….and if you’ve never seen one of your kiddos struggle to breathe…count yourself as lucky..but it’s enough to make you take the restrictions to heart. So, there’s been lots of outside play and schedule and structure to keep us from going crazy, but it’s going really well so far.
If you’ve been following on Instagram, then you know that we’ve been working on a little project of our own.
God has been convicting me of so much lately. Some of it is more private and has been so hard to walk, but this..this is just plain fun and I can’t wait to share the process with you! Rob and I have felt the desire to downsize a little and move out a bit to the country. Trust me: no one is more surprised than me about this. haha!
We realized that with Rob’s job loss….so much of our life for the past two years has been about maintaining our current lifestyle….ouch, that hurts even writing it out! And, listen: God has been SO faithful to provide, but we just don’t want our life to be about being on that hamster wheel anymore. So, coming soon…country life with chickens and sunsets and quiet and just LESS. We both are so excited by this!
I picked this hat up at the gas station on our way to looking at land, and I couldn’t be happier with it or our new adventure. Alot of you have been so sweet to reach out and offer your support of this. What a blessing!
Our timeline is obviously very fluid with Covid-19, so I don’t have very many more details other than that to share. An adventure awaits for us, and we are excited!
Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here tomorrow! Much love and stopping to pray for you all, right now.
