These Days

Happy Monday, friends!  I am so happy to be with you guys right now!   Today, I am just sharing a little bit of this and that from these days.

What I am watching

Okay, I am on the 3rd eipsode of this, and I can’t tear myself away. I am not sure I love it, but it’s super well done and I feel compelled to watch it because I need to know how it ends.  Episode 1 starts with a big cliff hanger, and now I need to know what went down.  haha!

How I am seeing people show up during this season

Someone dropped off the cutest batch of MAY FLOWERS and I absolutely loved this cute tradition that they have.  I had never heard of this (where you leave flowers on friends and family’s doorsteps on 5/1) but it’s a thing…and I am loving it.

House Stuff

On Saturday, we had our house inspection which meant we were displaced out of the house for most of the day. We went and looked at a potential house (it was a no), scoped out the condo we will be staying in while we build ( I can’t wait to show it to you! It’s SO CUTE!!)  and finished it with Mexican.

At the restaurant, I noticed how sweet Presley’s natural waves were looking in her high pony tail.

A Little Bit of Truth

My friend posted this on his social media this week, and it’s so very true..

Date Night

And finally Rob and I had a little date night where we checked out some of the land that we love.  I am not going to lie, we are pretty smitten.

It’s not hard to see why.  We went to check out the sunset and it did not disappoint at all.  Isn’t the field pretty in the sunset light?

Window Chats

Also, these two often hang out in this spot, and I couldn’t love them more.  They look so grown up here, so I needed a quick picture to remember it by.

These days…full of God’s faithfulness…we are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is so very sweet to see happen.  Thank you, Lord.

I will see you back here on Wednesday!

  1. I felt the same way about Little Fires Everywhere.. I watched the whole season and I’m still not sure that I loved it but I couldn’t not watch it since I had to know what happened (even though I read the book!).

  5. I’m surprised you were able to eat at a restaurant. Where i live things are still closed through this month and likely even longer. Do you feel safe going in and out of restaurants and stores at this point? Are people wearing face masks?

    • Hey Rachel! Great question. Our restaurants are open at 25 % capacity in Texas. With tables removed to allow for 6+ feet. We ordered it to go but ate inside..It was fairly contactless but we won’t probably again. This was more that we had been stuck in our car for 5 hours because of the house inspection…and the walls of that car were closing in with three kids. 🤣
