Hey, hey! Happy Monday from my house to yours . Today, I am sharing a little update from our kitchen. This space is one of our most used spaces in the new house, so I am excited to share it here with you today! Come on in!
Later, I realized that I was washing the dishtowels and kitchen sink rug when I took pics. Other than that, this was just a normal evening after dinner.
The island is one of my favorite parts….it’s white quartz with lots of great clean lines. I have this more traditional buffet placed as a transition to the living room, and I really do love it. Some day, it might be nice to have a farmhouse piece in this spot. but this does a great job of contrasting in the meantime!
This bench has been one of the best additions to this space. The kids sit here to put shoes on or they set up backpacks for the following day.
And these barstools hide under the kitchen counter to save space.
Here’s the view from the kitchen to the living room.
And a few little farmhouse decorative items
I found each piece at Hobby Lobby if you are looking for something similar.
Our Coffee Bar is the first place Rob and I go in the morning.
And isn’t this mat so cute? My friend Sara gave it to me as a housewarming gift, and it’s perfection!
I am really loving the way the nook pulled together!
A few people have asked if we miss the dining room, and the answer is not yet! 🙂
We have a full-size table on the back porch which is super helpful when we have company.
I added the cute cake plate and placemats which finished it off nicely. 🙂
I ended up slip covering some chairs that we already had
and pairing them with the metal chairs that were in our kitchen at the old house.
I picked up this fun clock at a flea market several years ago.
Next up is a tour of the main area! Just a few more things to go and that space should be ready to share. Thank you for checking in to see how we are making this house a home. See you back here on Wednesday, friends! Much love, N
