House Project: Fall Landscaping Update!

Happy Friday, y’all!! Today, I am sharing a fun home update.  Wait, is landscaping fun to anyone else or is that just me? haha!

When we moved in, our house looked just like this.  A white house with bare beds and a little bit of grass around it. We had our landscaping work cut out for us, for sure.

This is the part where I tell you that I have zero knowledge of landscaping.  I tried to research as much as I could but I am sure that I probably did some things wrong. :). So if you have any tips for me along the way, I would love to hear them!

Much more inviting.  We have been working hard on growing some more grass.  There are still some bald spots of dirt, but we are making some good headway on the grass growing!

I did all of this on a small budget and by myself!  That’s alot of planting and mulch hauling, but I really wanted this to be my project. 🙂

It’s amazing what a little stone, cabbage, and rose bushes can do for an area!

I found all the plants at Lowes and a precious smaller nursery in the next town over (The Green Acre).  Everyone was super helpful! It’s been a week, and I haven’t killed anything YET. 😉

I picked up some pretty tulip and daffodil bulbs, and I am thinking about planting them right over here near those tall bushes.  What do you think?

These white mums just make me happy and are so sweet with the pumpkins.

And, the twinkle lights add the perfect touch!

Finally, we planted 4 trees on the side of the house. These types of trees are fast growers and should grow 2-3 feet per year!

I think I would like to plant 4 more trees–2 in the front of the house and two in the back if budget and time allow in the next few weeks.  I also have plans to spread some wildflower seeds in the front yard by the road. That would be fun, right?   I will keep you updated for sure!

Have a great weekend, y’all…and I will see you here next week! XOXO Narci
