Friday Fun

Happy Friday, my friends! I hope you have had a great week!

Well, I am coming to you live from quarantine at our house….Rob tested positive for Covid so we are all tucked into the nest and praying for him to feel better. I had planned on doing a day in the life on this particular day but little did I know that it would be a very eventful day!

I was up and ready for a great day on Wednesday morning.  I had my favorite cup ready to go!

This girl was all smiles and ready for school!

And I was sharing my real-life early morning pics. Haha!

The kids made it to school, but that’s when our day changed pretty quickly.  Rob tested positive for Covid during his weekly covid test for work (he has a contract position with a healthcare company so they require it. :)). So, I grabbed the kids from school and drove them to Frisco for a covid test as well. Thankfully the rest of us have all tested negative so far.  I am sure we will retest again, but this gave us a good starting point.

Ah… by the time nighttime rolled around, I was exhausted….trying to figure out what steps we needed to take, who needed what information from us, and how we were supposed to remote learn the next day.

Thankfully, Rob’s symptoms have been mild so far, and we know things could be much, much worse.  So many of you have reached out with prayers for our family, and we couldn’t thank you enough!

One thing that has been sitting with me in the past few days…many of you have reached out sharing about your own families and how Covid has affected you and it has weighed so heavy on my heart.  If you have a prayer request, feel free to leave it in the comments today, and I will spend today praying for you. It would be my honor to do so.

Hope this finds you well, and Hope you have a great weekend! Much love, Narci

  1. Aw, hope he’s feeling better soon and the rest of you remain symptom free. So far everyone we know has had mild symptoms too and recovered quickly so hopefully he will too.

  3. What a generous offer to pray for others, you have the best heart. I will pray for you today, and the others affected directly by Covid, as I have been doing on a regular basis. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but we just can’t see it yet.

  4. So glad that Rob’s symptoms have been mild, and I pray that the rest of you stay well. We’ve been lucky and not had anyone close to us have anything other than mild symptoms, but I’ve had two friends lose a parent to Covid. Absolutely heartbreaking.
